Commissioning Solar Farms

IV Curve Tracer

IV Curve testing is the new standard in the Solar industry for PV performance modeling; an IV Curve tester can detect any malfunction within a PV strings or even help us find lousy PV connectors. This testing considers temperature, irradiance, and tilt sensing in the graphic it generates. At Montes Electric, we can provide you with a complete IV Curve analysis of your Solar Farm.

Insulation Resistance

An insulation resistance must be performed on all the AC and DC wires of a solar farm; this test will help us find pinched wires or wire leakage problems before they become a significant liability for your Solar Farm. If your installer or EPC did not provide you with an insulation resistance report, you might need to take action right away to guarantee the longevity of your solar investment. 

Drone Infrared Imaging

With more than 32 megawatts (MW) of solar power installed in 2015 along Montes Electric Inc. have become one of the leaders in the solar field in North Carolina, working with Utility Scale Customers.

Cable Terminations

We use (12) Tons Burndy hydraulic crimpers to attach the wire with the terminal  this guarantee the longevity of the termination, every bolted termination is torqued to the manufacturer standards and is also inspected visually
