SMS Communications

Montes Electric Inc. (“Montes Electric,” “we,” “us”) uses text messaging (SMS) to communicate with our own employees and project supervisors as part of running our business. This program is for internal workforce communication only — it is never used for marketing, advertising, or promotional purposes, and it is not available to the general public or customers.

Who we text and why:
• Employees receive texts when they are assigned to or unassigned from a job, including project location, start date/time, and their superintendent’s contact information.
• Superintendents/supervisors receive texts listing employees newly assigned to their project, including the employee’s name and phone number, so they can coordinate directly with incoming crew.

Information We Collect

We collect employees’ mobile phone numbers during onboarding, along with basic employment information (name, job assignments, project details, supervisor contact information) needed to send these notifications. We do not collect this information through our public website.

How We Use Your Information

Mobile numbers and related information are used solely to send job assignment/un-assignment notifications and related coordination messages described above. We do not use this information for marketing or promotional purposes.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or SMS consent status with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Employee contact information may be shared internally between Montes Electric employees and their assigned project superintendent solely for job coordination purposes, as described above. We do not share this information with outside companies, marketers, or lead generators.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies depending on job assignment activity — typically a few messages per week, but could be more or fewer depending on your work schedule.

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

Opting Out

You may opt out of receiving SMS notifications at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for assistance. Opting out of these operational notifications does not affect your employment; please speak with your supervisor or HR about alternative ways to receive job assignment information if you opt out.

Data Retention & Security

We retain mobile phone numbers and messaging records for as long as needed to operate this notification program and as required by our standard employment recordkeeping practices. We take reasonable measures to protect this information from unauthorized access.
